The serial “BeBetter” revolves around 13-year-old creative misfit Linus, who lives in a world where people solely define themselves by their performance. To be a worthy member of society, everyone is expected to be as efficient as possible and do their best all the time. On the surface, the citizens of Optima seem to be extremely happy and always in a good mood. Everyone’s afraid to show their weaknesses. The BeBetter Corporation bases their merchandising on this self-optimization and need for perfection. They develop performance enhancing food and gadgets that aim to increase peoples’ abilities in every way possible. Unlike other kids his age, Linus keeps seeking out adventures and fun. He is an unconventional thinker, who loves to create things differently than the BeBetter Corporation by constantly coming up with new ideas that fulfill their purpose in a non-conventional way.
